Job Description
We are looking for a Spanish speaking preschool Assistant Teacher for our developmental Language Immersion Program for the fall 2026. Our school offers French or Spanish for children between 2 to 5 years old. We are looking for a loving, nurturing, a creative individual who can work full time/part time. Applicants must be flexible and reliable. Someone who believes in the "whole child" approach to education and that want to be part of our team. Qualifications and skills required :
- A minimum of 12 ECE units (6 ECE for Assistant)
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a preschool setting
- Caring and nurturing attitude towards young children
- Good work ethics
- Reliable & punctual
- CPR & First Aid certification
- Current immunizations and/or proof of immunity to Pertussis & Measles
- Current TB test
- A background and fingerprint clearance as required by DSS
- Must be fluent and articulate well in Spanish or French as well as writing)
- Communicate effectively in a mature respectful manner with parents and co-workers
- Demonstrate a full range of motion to lift 50 lbs. reach, squat, climb, sit on the floor and otherwise fully participate in activities
- Energetic and must be able to multi-task
- Interacts frequently, effectively and respectfully in a loving and nurturing manner
- Communicates directly with each child at the child's level
- Provide a safe environment with a variety of developmentally appropriate materials
- Demonstrate respect for diverse cultures
- Plan curriculum
- Must be a Team Player
- Keep environment safe, clean and attractive assuming an equal share of joint responsibilities
- Respond to parents with sensitivity, interest and respect in a friendly welcoming manner
- Follow all State licensing requirements
