The position could be shared/split. Position is Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:30pm with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. The morning hours are paraeducator time working with a certificated teacher. The afternoons are mostly solo enrichment time. Program serves about 10-12 students TK-8.

• June 8th-July 24th The Monte Rio Union School District is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered Summer Paraeducator/Enrichment Leader to support our 2026 Summer Learning Academy serving students in TK-8th grade.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children in a fun, hands-on learning environment that blends academics, art, science, nature, movement, and enrichment activities. The Summer Learning Academy includes daily instruction in:

• Math
• Reading
• Writing
• Vocabulary & Grammar
• Enrichment Activities Enrichment experiences throughout the program include:
• Art projects
• Yoga
• Reader's Theater
• Science experiments
• Nature exploration
• Field trips
• Cooking and measurement activities
• Creative writing and poetry
• Hands-on math games and STEM activities

• Responsibilities May Include:

• Supporting students during academic centers and small group instruction
• Assisting with supervision during recess, walks, lunch, and field trips
• Helping facilitate enrichment activities, including art, science, theater, and outdoor learning
• Encouraging positive student behavior and engagement
• Assisting with classroom organization, setup, and clean up
• Collaborating closely with the Summer Learning Academy teacher and staff

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in school, camp, or enrichment settings
