Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of post-high school courses in Psychology or Special Education is desirable. AND
- One (1) year as an Instructional Assistant in a Special Education classroom setting.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification (Preferred)
- Must have completed or be able to complete (within 30 work days of hire) a 40-hour BT certification course if the candidate does not possess RBT Certification
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates, to be obtained within 30 days of employment
NOTE:
CURRENT EMPLOYEES SHALL REMAIN IN A POSITION FOR AT LEAST ONE
(1)YEAR FROM THE BEGINNING DATE OF AN INITIAL PROBATION OR PROMOTIONAL PROBATIONARY PERIOD IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.
Successfully complete the District's competitive hiring process, to include a written test, interview, background checks, medical exam given by a District-appointed physician (when applicable), and the submission of a Tuberculosis Certificate showing the applicant is free from active tuberculosis within the past 4 years. Applicants who fail to submit all required information will not be considered for employment.COPIES OF DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED MUST BE LEGIBLE.
