Daycare/TK-1st Grade Instructional Aide Position The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles (LA Catholics) - 3.5 Norwalk, CA Job Details 20 hours ago Qualifications Faculty collaboration High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible individual to serve as both a Daycare Supervisor and Instructional Aide for our TK-1st grade program. During the school day, the Instructional Aide will support teachers in the classroom by assisting with small group instruction, supervising students, preparing materials, and helping create a positive learning environment. After school, the Daycare Supervisor will oversee students in our after-school program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment while supervising activities, assisting with homework, and communicating with families as needed.
Responsibilities:
Assist TK-1st grade teachers with classroom instruction and activities Support students academically and socially throughout the school day Supervise students during recess, lunch, and transitions Plan and oversee age-appropriate after-school activities Maintain a safe and positive daycare environment Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to school policies Communicate professionally with staff, students, and parents Requirements High School Diploma Has to be VIRTUS trained Fingerprinted through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Preferably bilingual (Spanish/English) but not required Experience working with young children preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff Positive, patient, and nurturing attitude Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
