This contract opportunity seeks an ASL Paraprofessional who brings a passion for working with children and a strong command of sign language. Youll be a vital support to students, fostering an inclusive and engaging climate at various educational sites. Schedule runs from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM on weekdays, averaging 20-24 hours each weekperfect for those seeking a consistent, part-time role. Formal EIPA certification is not required; however, proficiency in American Sign Language is a must.

Qualifications:

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous paraprofessional experience, especially in school settings, is highly valued Comfortable collaborating with students and educational staff Adaptable to different site locations and student needs Committed to creating a positive, accessible environment

Responsibilities:

Facilitate effective communication between students who use sign language and other members of the school community Assist students with classroom tasks, activities, and after-school programming Support individual students in meeting their educational and social goals Adjust strategies to meet varying levels of student ability Maintain a respectful, encouraging, and collaborative atmosphere
