Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or educator in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a compassionate approach Able to collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff No EIPA credential required

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one ASL support to an elementary-aged male student, facilitating communication throughout the school day Assist with classroom activities and adapt instructions as needed Encourage social interactions and the development of independence Support students in following daily routines and accessing curriculum Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and contribute to a positive learning environment Maintain open communication with staff and parents regarding student progress This contract position averages 32 hours per week, allowing you to build strong rapport and continuity with your student.
