Job Description

Job Summary Under the direction of the Center Director, the Infant and Toddler Teacher will promote activities designed to stimulate learning in all developmental domains, and encourage Family Engagement in all aspects of the program. The Infant and Toddler Teacher will develop individual goals for children; provide on-going assessment on progress and facilitate transition activities into Kindergarten. Additionally, provide guidance to teacher assistants in accordance with policies, procedures, and philosophy of CCRC Head Start 0-5. This position is a full time (40 hours per week) position, will consist of working at a center location and may also require working nights and weekends. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to various learning styles. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to meet individual needs. Foster literacy education through innovative teaching techniques and resources. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices. Support early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance. Engage in classroom management practices that promote respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students. Incorporate elements of Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enrich the learning experience. Facilitate physical education activities that encourage healthy habits and teamwork among students. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and classroom activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Must have at the time of applying; 24 credits in Early Childhood Education 3 Infant Units 2 years experience working with children/families
