Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting schools as a paraprofessional in the Palmdale, CA area. This position allows you to make a tangible difference every day in a collaborative educational setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working as a paraprofessional or similar support role in schools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to assist with daily classroom activities under teacher supervision Flexibility, patience, and a proactive attitude when engaging with students Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus High school diploma or equivalent (some districts may require proof of postsecondary education or passing a skills assessment)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instructional and behavioral support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups Assist educators with lesson preparations and classroom management Aid students with assignments, communication, and social interaction as needed Help implement accommodations or modifications outlined in student plans Monitor student progress and share observations with classroom teachers Support classroom organization and ensure safety protocols are followed This contract position offers a chance to support students' growth while gaining valuable experience in education.
