We are seeking a responsible, organized, and personable Youth Program Site Manager and Teaching Assistant to join our team for our youth filmmaking and digital media camps serving students ages 10-15. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly alike. The Site Manager serves as the primary on-site operational lead, ensuring that camp runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while supporting instructors so they can focus on teaching. This position combines student supervision, administrative responsibilities, facility oversight, and classroom support, making it an essential part of delivering a high-quality camp experience. Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for parents during camp hours. Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment by monitoring facility access and ensuring exterior doors remain secure. Manage camp paperwork, including collecting and organizing participant waivers and other required documentation. Supervise students during transitions, breaks, lunch, and other times when instructors require additional support to ensure appropriate student supervision at all times. Assist instructors with classroom management and provide general classroom support throughout the day. Help prepare classrooms, equipment, and materials before and after camp activities. Communicate with the Education Program Manager throughout the day regarding incidents, concerns, behavioral issues, facility needs, or other operational matters. Respond calmly and professionally to unexpected situations while following established safety procedures. Provide general assistance wherever needed to help ensure camp operates smoothly and efficiently. Qualifications Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or youth development settings (such as schools, camps, after-school programs, tutoring, or coaching). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems independently. Strong classroom management and student supervision skills. Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred, or willingness to complete employer-provided training. As required by California law, this position requires a Live Scan background check, which will be paid for by Midpen.
