Part Time, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Reports to: Site Supervisor / Lead Teacher Position Summary The Teacher Aide supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment for young children. This role assists with daily routines, learning activities, behavior support, and supervision. It's a full-day position that requires patience, energy, and the ability to stay calm when three things happen at once, which is basically every day in early childhood education. Key Responsibilities Classroom Support Assist with daily lesson implementation and activities Engage with children during centers, outdoor play, group time, and transitions Support positive behavior guidance and consistent routines Supervision & Safety Maintain active supervision at all times Assist with mealtimes, toileting, nap time, and transitions Follow all state licensing and ratio requirements Environment & Materials Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and inviting Set up materials and learning centers as directed by the Lead Teacher Assist with basic classroom documentation as needed Family & Team Collaboration Interact with families respectfully and professionally Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and coworkers Participate in meetings and trainings as required Requirements / Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with young children preferred Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred California Child Development Assistant Teacher or Associate Teacher Permit preferred CDA Credits preferred. Ability to pass background check and meet licensing requirements Must be able to work the full 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule Reliable attendance and professionalism required Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, sit on the floor, and keep up with small humans

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
