43 Per Hour Length of Work Year M-F; 6.5/ Hrs Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Under the general direction of the Principal, the Bilingual Paraeducator performs a variety of duties assisting teachers in the overall support of instructional activities for students who are enrolled in special education moderate/severe programs and/or mainstream classrooms. Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • Education as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015: High school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years of higher education study (48 semester units) OR possession of an Associate's or higher degree OR able to meet a rigorous standard of quality and able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge or and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics•Prior job-related experiences, paid or voluntary, with school-age children or children/individuals with disabilities
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Possession of an appropriate valid California Driver's License with evidence of insurability
  • First Aid
  • Complete approved MCOE Crisis Intervention Program within six (6) months of employment and maintains valid certification
  • CPR Certification within six (6) months of employment
  • Program for the
Deaf/Hard of Hearing:
Ability to pass the MCOE sign language test within six (6) months of employment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Spanish by passing the MCOE Spanish Language Competency Test Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction Proof of HS Graduation Resume Requirements /
