Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Looking for a rewarding contract opportunity where you can provide crucial support to students in a school environment? This position offers you the chance to make an impact as a 1:1 Paraprofessional, working onsite with a high school student requiring dedicated attention and care. The role is focused on assisting a 10th grade male student with moderate to severe behavioral needs. You'll be part of the daily routine, including accompanying the student on the school bus.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Paraprofessional, preferably supporting students with moderate to severe behavioral needs Prior involvement in a school or educational setting Ability to implement individualized behavior plans and follow guidance from special education staff Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff Bilingual in Mandarin is highly desirable Commitment to working onsite throughout the school year
Core Responsibilities:
Provide continuous, 1:1 support to a 10th grade student during classroom instruction, transitions, and bus rides Assist with the implementation of behavior support strategies as directed by educational professionals Offer positive reinforcement to encourage participation and engagement in school activities Accurately document daily observations and communicate progress or concerns to the educational team Support a safe and supportive learning environment, maintaining clear boundaries and consistent routines This full-time, onsite role offers a stable schedule of 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 1, 2027.
