Part-time Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Piano Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support the educational and developmental needs of our piano students. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners and contribute to their academic growth.
College/Career Relevant Experience:
This is an ideal position for a High-School or College Student that would like to obtain some experience in Music Education as well as the intersection of technology and Music Education. This work experience as well as a positive work recommendation from our studio can help the right candidate propel their High School/College/Early Career pursuits in the right direction!
Schedule:
  • Applicants must be able to work a minimum of two (2) of the four (4) days per week listed below: Monday 4:30pm
  • 7pm Tuesday 4:30pm
  • 6:30pm Wednesday 4:30pm
  • 6:30pm Thursday 5pm
  • 7pm
Compensation:
$19
  • $22.50/hr ($38
  • $56.
25/day)
Duties:
  • Assist the lead teacher in assisting students working through their music with the assistance of software that is monitoring and tracking their progress
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students during classroom activities
  • Minor technology/audio equipment troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher in assessing student progress and identifying areas for improvement
  • Enter in students progress into the grade book at the end of each class period
  • Communicate with parents of students regarding their progress (under the supervision of the lead teacher)
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of basic music fundamentals (must be able to read and play Bass Clef and Treble Clef notes at a minimum level of "Level 4 " in our curriculum
