Job Summary Job Summary The Behavioral Instructional Aide provides essential support to students with behavioral challenges, working closely with special education teachers, therapists, and specialists to enhance student learning and social development. This role involves assisting with instructional activities, implementing behavioral and communication strategies, monitoring progress, and helping maintain a positive and safe learning environment. The aide is responsible for supervising students, assisting in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and supporting students' personal needs as necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 48 college units, AA degree, or passing score on district assessment Current First Aid and CPR certifications; Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred At least one year of experience with students with autism, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and maintain a mature, stable, and positive attitude Reports to: Coordinator of Special Education, Principal, or designee The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to learning specialized techniques, and a passion for fostering student growth in a collaborative environment.
