Length of Work Year 9.5 months per year /17.5 hours per week Employment Type Part Time Education/Experience Requirement Graduation from high school or equivalent; completion of six (6) postsecondary semester units or equivalent quarter units, nine (9), in early childhood education or child development; Six months of experience in an early childhood setting is preferred. Additional Requirement Valid First Aid and CPR certificates as authorized by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Seasonal Flu Vaccination Verification. Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Vaccination Verification. Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (TDAP) Vaccination Verification. Vaccination requirements must be met unless the employee qualifies for a state-recognized exemption. English/Spanish Proficiency Pass a District proficiency test in English usage, language arts and math, or have passed the California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) or have completed two years of college.
