Requirements / Qualifications This position requires the candidate to have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR the ability to demonstrate, through a formal local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or readiness in those subjects, as appropriate). Testing TBD. Candidate will assist a classroom teacher(s) in the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of students involved in Community Day School programs and will perform a variety of related duties in the maintenance of an effective learning environment for students. Candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively with other adults in an alternative education setting in support of students with behavioral and/or academic challenges.

Qualifications:

Candidate must be a high school graduate and have knowledge of basic subjects taught. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, as well as good oral and written communication skills are essential. One year experience working with at-risk youth in an educational setting is preferred. Spanish speaking preferred.
