Job Description

Preschool Assistant Teacher ELIM Santa Clara, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $19 - $24 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Professional networking Interpersonal skills Cleaning Classroom Teaching Teacher-directed learning Full Job Description
  • Introduction
  • We are a small daycare center that has been serving children and families for the past three and a half years.
Although we are currently licensed as a daycare, our program is operated more like a preschool, with a preschool-style curriculum, structured daily routines, and a spacious learning environment where children can learn, play, and grow comfortably. We currently care for a fixed group of 12 children, allowing our teachers to build close relationships with each child and provide consistent, attentive care. Our classroom environment is calm, stable, and very manageable compared to many larger preschool settings. The workload is reasonable and well-supported. In the morning, three teachers work together with the children, and in the afternoon, two teachers share the responsibility. Because our group size is small and stable, teachers are able to focus on children's safety, joyful engagement, and meaningful learning experiences rather than feeling overwhelmed. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children, has a warm and positive attitude, and values safety, patience, and responsibility. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and hopes to grow as a preschool teacher. Our senior teacher, who has over 15 years of experience, will provide guidance, training, and support as you develop your skills. We believe in growing together as a team and helping each teacher build confidence and experience in the classroom. The starting hourly wage may be modest at first, but we offer opportunities for pay increases based on performance, reliability, and long-term commitment. As our program continues to grow, we are planning to expand into a larger center within the next one to two years. We hope to provide additional benefits and more opportunities to teachers who stay and grow with us long-term. If you are looking for a warm, supportive, and manageable teaching environment where you can grow as a teacher and make a meaningful impact on children's lives, we would love to meet you. Join us and grow together with our children, families, and team.
