We are seeking candidates for an Inclusion II Instructional Assistant (Also known as: Special Education Student Assistant or Paraprofessional or Paraeducator) position . Pay is for 6 hours per day; 30 hours per week. Shift is 6.5 hours per day, roughly 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes one 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break. Inclusion II Instructional Assistants help students with social, behavior, and academic needs, help meet student I.E.P. guidelines, and may assist with toileting. Requirements:

AA degree, 48 units college or more, or student aide proficiency certification (available through the district by examination of basic skills in math and english) POPP medical clearance (paid for by district) Fingerprint clearance - DOJ and FBI (paid for by district)' CPR/1st Aide Training Mandated Trainings The ideal candidates will be: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Friendly and kind Role models of patience and respect Articulate Available for work on school days (M-F) Eligible to work in the U.S.A. Bilingual Spanish is preferred

Can you reliably commit to a M-F work schedule during the school year? Are you bilingual/biliterate in Spanish? Do you have current CPR/First Aide certification? Do you have a valid CA driver license? Do you have experience working with students/persons with special needs? Do you have experience working in the classroom as an Instructional Assistant or Teacher?
