Specific certifications can be obtained by contacting various organizations. A list of possible vendors can be found on the Human Resources website under Employment Opportunities; click on certification / class information. On-line certification for First Aid/CPR/AED is acceptable for application purposes only. Proof of hands-on certification will be required prior to employment. Algebra knowledge highly desired and the ability to help a student stay on task desired.
NCLB COMPLIANCE
(If required by job description) Proof of Associate's Degree (AA); or 48 college semester units; or proof of passing Santee School District's Proficiency Test (certifications from other Districts are acceptable if NCLB criteria meets Santee School District's requirements) and must be attached to your application.
NCLB TESTING
(If required by job description) Applicants applying for a position requiring NCLB certification, and who are not NCLB compliant, must pass the Santee School District's NCLB Proficiency Test. The two-hour District Proficiency Test will be given MOST Weekdays, between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, at the District Office. Please contact (619) 258-2308 to register.
