Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and service-oriented Day Shift Program Aide to support front desk operations at a nonprofit housing program in South San Francisco, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, maintaining an organized environment, and responding calmly to day-to-day client needs. In this role, you will balance reception duties, administrative support, and facility oversight while contributing to a safe and welcoming setting for residents and visitors. This role requires onsite work in South San Francisco and the hours are 7:00am - 4:00pm.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors and residents at the front desk, answer general questions, and direct urgent concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Prepare and organize intake paperwork so case management staff can efficiently support new and returning clients.
  • Enter information accurately into tracking systems and maintain organized records related to daily program activity.
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock common area and day room supplies, and help ensure essential items are available throughout the shift.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, receive deliveries and donations, and help move items to the proper location.
  • Assist with client check-in and check-out procedures while helping maintain orderly front desk coverage during breaks and meal periods.
  • Support residents with routine needs such as access to medication coordination and other basic program-related assistance.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of interior and exterior spaces, observe for safety concerns, and document rule violations or notices when needed.
  • Provide attentive customer service by responding professionally to questions, escalating urgent matters promptly, and helping maintain a respectful environment.
