Key Qualifications & Experience:

Demonstrated proficiency in Braille transcription and tactile graphics Experience working as a Paraprofessional in a school setting, preferably at the high school level Familiarity with assistive technology, such as Braille notetakers and screen readers Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and staff Patience, flexibility, and a supportive approach to meeting students individual learning needs

Role Responsibilities:

Provide Braille transcription and reading support for students with visual impairments Adapt classroom materials, assignments, and resources into accessible formats Assist students one-on-one and in small groups, reinforcing academic concepts and fostering independence Collaborate with teachers and specialized staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor student progress and maintain clear documentation Support classroom management and encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment
