Job Description At Americana Adult Day Center, our Program Aide is responsible for assisting with the day to day delivery of person centered activities and programs for the seniors who attend our day program while meeting and/or exceeding Americana's quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive participants to and from the center and during field trips as needed. Assist participants to and from buses, taxis and/or family vehicles. Assist with ambulation and supervision of members. Provide support and assistance with group activities, health and recreational programs. Monitor physical therapy maintenance. Assist with service and preparation of meals and snacks including serving, monitoring designated special diets, monitoring food intake and general clean-up. Perform housekeeping duties on a daily basis. Provide translation when needed. Attend in-service trainings, staff meetings and other meetings as needed Work hours are 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Employees in this position sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach overhead, twist, and walk as needed. Must possess the ability and personality to assist in activities and provide a positive social environment for participants. Push, pull, lift and carry when needed, e.g. trays, supplies, wheelchairs, other assistive devices Employees must be able to assist participants in emergency situations when needed We are looking for candidates who are able to drive participants in company-owned vehicles.
Requirements:
High school graduate able to read and write in English. Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred. Possess a pleasant personality and have a genuine interest in working with the elderly who have physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges. Willingness to work as a team member and give support to other team members performing a variety of tasks to provide a beneficial and enjoyable program for the participants. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Provide a negative TB test result. Have a valid driving license with a clean driving record.

From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
