Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity as a full-time Behavior Aide, supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Vista, CA. As a critical member of the school staff, you'll play a vital role in fostering student success, growth, and positive behavior through dedicated day-to-day support. This contract role offers a rewarding chance to impact lives while gaining valuable experience as a Paraprofessional.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Aide in school settings strongly preferred Strong ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and families Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude when addressing behavioral and educational needs Flexibility and adaptability in changing classroom situations High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related fields a plus
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct, one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioral or educational needs Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and behavior management strategies Encourage the development of independence and self-regulation in students Monitor and document student progress and behavior in accordance with school protocols Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
