Job Description

Make a difference in students' lives by providing essential support as a professional paraprofessional in the picturesque Mt. Shasta region. This rewarding contract position is ideal for collaborative and compassionate individuals eager to work 30 hours per week in an educational setting that values your experience and enthusiasm.
Key Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and staff Ability to provide academic and behavioral assistance to students as directed by educational professionals Adaptable approach to supporting diverse learners, including those with special needs Reliable, punctual, and motivated to create a positive impact in the classroom
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in classroom management, instructional delivery, and lesson preparation Offer one-on-one or small group guidance to students needing additional support Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and follow behavioral intervention strategies Monitor student progress while maintaining a safe, encouraging atmosphere Support special projects, classroom activities, and other educational initiatives as required Communicate observations regarding student progress to teachers and team members
