Salaried Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (K-12) or equivalent required. Experience working with young students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) preferred. Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and other evidence-based practices for supporting students with ASD preferred. Ability to create and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with ASD, in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Design and deliver instructional lessons that are differentiated to meet the unique needs of each student, focusing on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote communication, social skills development, and independence among students. Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and goals as necessary to ensure continuous improvement. Maintain ongoing communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and emotional support for all students. Collaborate effectively with other educators, therapists, and support staff to coordinate services and optimize student outcomes. Salary
