 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day. 194 days per year for new professional employees/191 days for professional staff in year two/190 days in all subsequent years

Salaried Qualifications:

Bachelors level degree in education required Valid PA Special Education Certificate (7-12 or N-12) required Experience teaching English preferred Experience with secondary students preferred Three to five years teaching experience preferred Experience working with children and adolescents with severe and complex behavior challenges in school, community, or residential setting preferred Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances required (conducted by the CCIU upon hire)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill and subject area Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior Support objectives and interventions of the educational program Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress When appropriate, develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required Function as integral member of treatment/IEP team, addressing needs of students Salary 2026-27

$62,155 to $89,730

• Placement on the salary scale is determined by previous experience.
