DESCRIPTION:
 The Art Paraprofessional provides standards-aligned visual arts instruction to students in grades K�5. The Art Paraprofessional plans and facilitates engaging art experiences that promote creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and artistic expression while supporting the school's mission, culture, and instructional priorities. The Art Paraprofessional creates a safe and inclusive learning environment and collaborates with classroom teachers to support student success.
SALARY:
Classified Grade J, starting at $20.13 per hour, depending on recent relevant experience. 7.5 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday on the 9-month work schedule, paid over 12 months. Position is eligible for benefits. Key Responsibilities Instruction Plan and deliver engaging visual arts lessons for students in grades K�5. Teach foundational art concepts, techniques, and creative processes. Facilitate hands-on projects using a variety of media and materials. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs. Support school-wide instructional priorities and student engagement. Classroom Management Establish and maintain classroom routines and expectations. Supervise students and ensure a safe learning environment. Reinforce school-wide behavior expectations and PBIS practices. Program Management Maintain inventory of art supplies and materials. Organize student artwork displays throughout the school. Coordinate school art shows, exhibitions, and special events. Manage preparation, cleanup, and storage of materials. Collaboration Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and intervention staff. Participate in staff meetings and professional development as assigned. Communicate with families regarding student participation and special events. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with elementary-aged children. Demonstrated interest, experience, or training in visual arts. Preferred Coursework in art, education, child development, or related fields. Experience teaching or leading youth art programs.
