Job Description

The Arts & History team is looking for a Program Assistant to support in-person events and complete administrative and front-of-house duties at a variety of locations, including the Depot Museum and indoor and outdoor events across Broomfield. With regular interaction with the public, this position supports administrative work, event management and ensures compliance with rules and regulations while promoting the safe use of facilities and equipment. Looking for part time weekend and evening work (around 6 hours per week) Has experience with customer service Comfortable conversing with members of the public of all ages Interested in bringing Arts & History experiences to the community Possesses a valid driver's license and safe driving record Supports Arts & History events and programs through a variety of administrative, "front of house", receptionist, and/or clerical tasks. Responsible for extensive interaction and communication with the public, including patrons, artists, organizations, and agencies in a variety of situations and event types, including indoor and outdoor events. Provides front line support and answers public questions at events. Supports administrative work, including gathering of information, data input, marketing material creation and coordination, basic research projects, public calendar management and other clerical duties as assigned. Assists with design, implementation, transportation, maintenance and evaluation of events and programs, including moving equipment and supplies, set up and break down, Enforces all rules and regulations of programs, facilities, and equipment. Receives training in and supports implementation of emergency protocols and procedures for events and venues. May support volunteers, interns and temporary staff as needed. Education High School Diploma/GED - required Experience Less than 1 year experience required in an office environment, which demonstrates the worker possesses the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience with arts or history groups (music, museum, dance, or theater) in a small to medium sized cultural, school, or event facility - preferred. Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(in addition to above requirements): Must be 18 years old. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, and background checks, which may include local police check,sex-offender registry, and DMV check.
