About Us:
Broomfield Montessori Preschool is a warm, community-centered school serving children from infancy through kindergarten. Rooted in authentic Montessori philosophy, we honor each child's individuality and create peaceful, purposeful environments where children can grow with independence, joy, and curiosity. We are seeking an Assistant Montessori Primary Teacher to guide children ages 2.5-6 and lead a Montessori environment where respect, independence, and joy in learning thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Montessori Teacher in preparing and maintaining a beautiful, clean, and organized Montessori classroom Support children during Montessori work periods by encouraging independence, concentration, and respect for the environment Help prepare classroom materials and maintain the Montessori environment throughout the day Observe children's development and share observations with the Lead Teacher Foster social-emotional growth through calm, respectful, and positive guidance Build warm, caring relationships with children while supporting consistent classroom expectations Collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher and school leadership Maintain warm, professional, and respectful communication with families during arrival, dismissal, and daily interactions Supervise transitions, lunch, outdoor play, and rest periods Assist with daily cleaning, sanitizing, and classroom maintenance in accordance with health and safety policies Lead an afternoon circle time, sing songs, read books and manage the classroom Support the classroom wherever needed to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications:
Montessori experience preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate. Must meet Colorado state licensing requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher (or be willing to complete required qualifications) CPR/First Aid and Standard Precautions certifications (or willingness to obtain) Able to lift up to 50 lbs in an emergency and perform the physical duties of an early childhood classroom (bending, sitting on the floor, kneeling, and moving quickly as needed) Positive attitude, dependable, and punctual Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills A genuine love for children and a desire to support their independence and growth
