Mountain View Academy is seeking a dedicated, passionate full-time assistant teacher to join our supportive team. We offer a salary position with generous paid time off, including 4 weeks in addition to standard PTO. At Mountain View Academy, we believe in collaborative learning environments. All our classrooms feature 3-teacher teams, ensuring ample support and personalized attention for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside an assistant teacher and a lead teacher, contributing and helping plan to facilitate a nurturing and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate MUST be PDIS Level 2 certified, have experience in childcare or early childhood education, and possess a genuine love for working with young children.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate the intellectual and social growth of young children. Help provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Support activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Assist in communicating effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning. Monitor and ensure the safety of all children in your care.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with preschool or daycare-aged children. Certification in early childhood education or related fields. Must be PDIS Level 2. Proficiency in first aid and CPR. Strong understanding of childhood development stages for young children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members. We are currently at max capacity and cannot accommodate any staff children at this time.
