Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-5:30pm or 3:30pm-5:30pmSalary:
$19.30-$22.00/hour depending on the qualifications listed below The Part-Time ECE After School Assistant will provide support in the after school program from 3:00-5:30 or 3:30-5:30. MAC's after school program is designed with both time for structured and unstructured play and activities. The aide is also responsible to help maintain a clean and orderly environment both inside and outside.Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 and have one of the following: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university A 2 year college degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university A current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) or other Department-approved credential Qualify as a professional child care assistant through a combination of hours and verifiable experience in a professional child care setting Interested in a career as an Early Childhood Educator CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions certifications are a plus Experience working with young children (2 years-6 years) Montessori experience a plus Professional appearance and attitude Clean criminal background Strong communication skillsJob Duties:
Working with children between the ages of 2 through 6 years old Patiently and engaging with children through after school activities Working as a team and following the direction of the After School Coordinators and assistant teachers Cleaning, organizing, disinfecting indoor and outdoor spacesThe Ideal Candidate:
Is an apt listener and is able to learn quickly and follow instructions Has initiative and curiosity Is reliable, committed, energetic, patient, and detail oriented Part-time, temporary and substitute employees will also accrue PTO during the school year at a rate of 1 hour of PTO per every 30 hours actually worked.
