Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Paraprofessional working with middle school students with significant support needs. This contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through late May, providing essential educational support in a collaborative classroom environment. Youll work closely with a small caseload and a team of passionate educators, supporting students in grades 6 through 8 as they grow academically and socially. In this role, your schedule will consist of 35 hours per week, with workdays on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:40 AM to 3:50 PM, and Wednesday from 9:40 AM to 3:50 PM. Youll be supporting a maximum of five students, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement they need to succeed in a significant support needs classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school setting Understanding of educational strategies for students with significant support needs Patience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families Ability to manage and encourage student independence and inclusion
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with a small group of middle school students, supporting their daily learning activities Assist classroom teachers with curriculum delivery and individualized instruction Help implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) Provide positive behavioral support and promote social development Maintain a safe and consistent learning environment The contract offers $54.00 per hour and the chance to contribute meaningfully alongside a dedicated academic team.
