This contract-based paraprofessional opportunity begins immediately and continues through late May, serving grades 68 in a specialized classroom setting. You'll be instrumental in guiding students through their daily academic and behavioral routines, collaborating closely with experienced educators, and helping every student reach their potential.

Key Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment is strongly preferred Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families Patience and empathy when supporting young adolescents with varying needs Flexible approach and adaptability in a classroom environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Willingness to assist with personal care needs as necessary

Primary Responsibilities:

Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce classroom instruction Assist classroom teachers with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioral skills Help create a structured, supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior Ensure a safe environment for all learners, including assistance with mobility and basic care

Position Details & Perks:
