Position Summary We are hiring a full-time 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional to support a fifth grade student with a cognitive disability at an elementary school. You will work one-on-one with this student throughout the school day, supporting their learning, participation, and independence under the direction of the special education teacher. This school operates on a four day school week, Monday through Thursday. You get every Friday off. Schedule Monday through Thursday, 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM Fridays off. The school runs a four day week Approximately 32 hours per week Follows the school calendar, including school breaks and holidays On-site Responsibilities Provide one-on-one instructional and behavioral support to an assigned fifth grade student throughout the school day Reinforce lessons, accommodations, and modifications planned by the special education teacher and general education staff Support the student's participation in classroom activities, transitions, specials, lunch, and recess Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and appropriate social interaction with peers Implement strategies and supports outlined in the student's individualized education program Collect and record data on student progress as directed Communicate observations and concerns to the supervising special education teacher Maintain student confidentiality at all times Scope of the Role This is an assistant-level position. You will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed special education teacher. The supervising teacher is responsible for assessment, individualized education program development, goal writing, and instructional planning. Your role is to deliver and reinforce support as directed. Compensation and Benefits $25.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Bi-weekly direct deposit W2 employment.
