PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT
The successful candidate will be required to complete fingerprinting through an approved fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing assistance to teachers in working with students, clerical tasks and other functions. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Most experience can be gained on-site during the course of employment. Expertise in any one area is not required, but a flexibility and passion for working with students and learning new instructional strategies is. Collaborate, communicate, and support teachers to create active learning experiences for students Assist with peer collaboration in and outside of the classroom. Support a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the academic needs and interests of students. Encourages and monitors the progress of individual students. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff Support teachers in communicating with parents about their students' academics. Performs other duties as requested.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High School Diploma/GED required. Two years post-secondary study, Associates degree or higher preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Less than one (1) year job related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Requires good oral communication skills, the ability to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
EXPECTATIONS
Is flexible. Has the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers. Has the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Has the ability to perform responsibilities without the necessity of close supervision. Has the ability to effectively communicate with the school and school District community, as well as the public at large. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent sitting, bending, reaching; stooping, squatting. Occasional lifting five (5) to twenty five (25) pounds.
