Job Description
Hey there Friend, Mr. Eli here! Jefferson Street Preschool is looking for another member to join our amazing team! We are not your typical preschool and the only way to really describe what we do here is by sharing our vision. You might just relate a little bit but personally, growing up, school could sometimes be hard to go to. For me, it was a looming creature that never ceased to fill me with insecurity, doubt or plain disinterest. The days were LONG and BORING, so I didn't want to be there. Reading and arithmetic were just plain HARD, so I didn't really like it. I personally was the new kid A LOT and making friends sometimes felt difficult, so I kept to myself. This is a cycle that began early but became my norm and repeated itself throughout all my education, directly affecting my attitude towards school. A part of me feels as if I had a different, more positive experience during my inception, those struggles I went through wouldn't have followed me to graduation. That's why if I was to share "my mission" here at JSP, it's plain as day. To vicariously live through these kiddos and create a love for school that will carry itself well into their future. To create a place where a anyone can come have FUN, feel SAFE, BELONG and WONDER. To instill a passion in these little spirits to be kind, help others, try their best and most importantly, listen to their hearts. School is where we make friends! Not only is our staff, "teachers", a title that means the world, but we're all "friends" first to the little people that walk in this building. Are you interested in being our friend?
