Preschool Teacher/Assistant Bethany Nursery Group Bethany, CT Job Details Part-time $17 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Childcare Substitute Teaching Certification Teaching Certification High school diploma or GED Experience working with children Child Development Associate Certification Full Job Description Bethany Nursery Group is looking for friendly, caring teachers who love to use their creativity and enthusiasm to teach young children. Our staff works as a team to provide a high quality program, which focuses on developing social/emotion skills along with developmentally appropriate academic and motor skills. We are currently looking for a teacher 3-6 hours, 3-5 days a week (Monday-Friday between 8:30-2:15) to:
- Provide a caring and nurturing environment, while ensuring the safety of children at all times
- Assist in planning/implementing curriculum and activities
- Effectively carry out daily program and activities
- Establish a professional level of rapport with families, and work cooperatively as a team with fellow staff and board members
- Staff must be familiar with state regulations and follow them accordingly, along with maintaining required professional development and training
- Maintain cleanliness of the school, as well as maintaining a safe and organized environment
- Assist in covering other teachers in their absence
- Be a positive role model to children, staff and families
- Be knowledgeable in developmental stages and early childhood expectations
- Previous experience with children in school/center preferred BNG operates as a preschool, following Bethany Public School's days off, including summer and vacation weeks.
