Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact by supporting an 8th-grade student in a dynamic middle school environment this academic year. As a paraprofessional, you'll provide essential 1:1 assistance, ensuring the student's educational and behavioral needs are met through your dedication and expertise. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with both educators and students, helping foster growth and achievement in a supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience working as a paraprofessional, ideally supporting students with behavioral needs Ability to follow and complete state-mandated training requirements Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and student engagement Patience, flexibility, and compassion in challenging situations Willingness to participate in onsite interviews as part of the hiring process
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 support for an assigned 8th grader throughout the school day Assist with academic activities and behavioral strategies under teacher direction Help implement individual education plans and support classroom routines Encourage a positive, inclusive atmosphere for learning and personal growth Monitor progress, document observations, and communicate regularly with the educational team This contract runs from now until June 11, with working hours from 7:30 AM to 2:40 PM daily (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
