Dance Teacher Trainee & Studio Assistant Petite Ballet Cos Cob, CT Job Details Part-time From $18 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Working with students Organizational skills Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging individual to join our team as a Dance Teacher Trainee & Studio Assistant. In this role, you'll receive training to become a dance instructor while also supporting daily studio operations. No prior teaching experience is required - just a strong foundation in dance and a genuine passion for working with children. This person should be local to the Westchester or Fairfield County area to start training in the summer and have their own transportation. This is a great fit for someone looking for a very part time commitment (approximately 6 - 10 hours per week). Responsibilities Dance Training & Instruction Participate in our teacher training program Step in as a substitute teacher when needed Support students who may need extra guidance during class Studio Administration Serve as a friendly and professional presence at the front desk during class hours Greet families and students with a warm, upbeat, and welcoming energy Answer phones, respond to parent questions, and assist with general inquiries Help maintain studio organization and cleanliness Community & Engagement Build positive relationships with students and families Celebrate milestones like birthdays and achievements Assist with weekend birthday parties and special events as needed Creative Opportunities Contribute to social media content creation Qualifications Dance background required (does not need to be a dance major) No prior teaching experience necessary - training provided Enjoys working with children Reliable, friendly, and professional Strong communication and organizational skills Schedule Primarily weekday afternoons/evenings during class hours Possible Saturday and/or Sunday mornings during class hours Occasional weekend afternoons for parties or events About Us Petite Ballet is a welcoming, community-focused dance studio dedicated to nurturing a love of movement in children 1.5 - 8 years old.
