Job Description

Bring your passion for supporting students to a rewarding role where you'll make a significant impact every day! This full-time contract opportunity provides the chance to work closely with elementary and middle school students on a 1:1 basis, fostering growth and engagement in a dynamic school environment. As a valued paraprofessional, mornings will be spent supporting a student at the elementary level, followed by afternoons with a middle school student, ensuring individualized attention and care. Your expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) will be essential to your success, as will your commitment to working with students receiving special education services.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience as a paraprofessional in educational settings Proficiency in ASL; ASL certification required upon application Previous support of students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing Must be comfortable working 1:1 and providing personal care, including toileting and diapering High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to complete all district-mandated background checks and paperwork Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
Support designated students throughout the school day, adapting assistance to meet their unique needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement educational and behavioral plans Foster an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment Assist with communication needs through use of ASL Provide assistance with personal care as needed This full-time role is onsite, scheduled from 8:45AM3:45PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week, and runs through June 11, 2027.
