Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young preschool-aged children. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for preschool children Supervise children closely during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning Engage with children through nurturing interactions, encouraging language development, and fostering positive social behaviors Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily experiences, milestones, and any concerns or observations Follow all health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid, CPR procedures, mandated reporting laws, and infection control practices Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving tasks to meet each child's individual needs Experience Prior experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare The PMPlace Experience At Precious Memories Place, we are more than a preschool.
