Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by providing essential support within educational settings as a Paraprofessional. This contract opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and offering individualized assistance to students who need extra guidance. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with teachers and staff, playing an important role in classroom dynamics and student success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teacher's aide, or similar educational support role Ability to work patiently and effectively with children of varying abilities and backgrounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with students, teachers, and families Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting classroom needs Understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity in working with student information High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or child development is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks to create an inclusive classroom environment Provide one-on-one or small group academic support to students as directed Implement accommodations and modifications per individualized education plans (IEPs) Manage classroom materials, supervise students during activities, and promote positive social interactions Support students with transitions, behavioral reinforcement, and daily routines Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and participation This is a contract-based role, ideal for those ready to engage fully in helping students build confidence and skills.
