Reports to: Building Administrator/Director of Special Education
Job Description:
Quaker Farms School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Kindergarten Paraeducator to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting some of our youngest learners and fostering student growth and independence within a connected and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
(list not all inclusive)
Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Help guide children through daily transitions, centers, and play-oriented learning.
Support students during whole and small group instruction as well as working with individual students throughout the day as directed by classroom teacher
Implement instructional plans for students as directed by classroom teacher
Supervise lunch and recess as well as assist with student arrival and dismissal
Think flexibly and adapt to the specific needs of students
Any other duties as assigned by the administration
Qualifications:
Have 2 years of college experience/credit or hold an Associate's (or higher) degree
Pass the Parapro test
Previous experience working with young children, preferred
Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. Proactive team player.
Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students.
