Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a full-time Teacher's Aide in a supportive school setting near New Milford, CT. This rewarding contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate and motivated professionals who are dedicated to helping students with special needs succeed both academically and socially. You'll partner closely with teachers and school staff in both one-on-one and resource classroom environments. In this role, you will help support student achievement by implementing individualized educational strategies aligned with IEP and PPT goals while fostering a positive and inclusive learning experience. Responsibilities Provide individualized support based on each student's unique educational and behavioral needs Assist with implementing accommodations and instructional strategies that support learning and communication Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to maintain a structured and encouraging classroom environment Observe and track student progress, sharing feedback to support instructional planning and adjustments Encourage the development of positive social, emotional, and behavioral skills through patient and consistent support Qualifications Must have an Associate's Degree or Paraprofessional Certification Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Paraprofessional or Teacher's Aide Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and students Passion for supporting inclusive education and student success within an elementary school setting This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with students and contributing to a positive school community.
