A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

On-going - based on need Substitute Paraeducators Stonington Public Schools is seeking substitute paraeducators for the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications:
Substitute paraeducators must have one of the following: Associate's Degree 60 college credits Passing score of the ParaPathways Assessment Preference to candidates who have experience working with children Must have basic technology skills (Google Suite, Email, Frontline)
Pay:
The hourly rate is $18.25 Hours Elementary hours are 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Middle School hours are 7:25 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. High School hours are 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please note that substitutes may not work more than 29 hours per week.
