The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to students and teachers in the classroom to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
Status:
Full-time Schedul e: Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:30pmHours :
37.5 hours a week, year-round position.Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities Work with individual students or small groups to provide additional support and guidance Help to manage student behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment Provide assistance with classroom materials and resources, such as organizing materials and setting up equipment Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to meet the individual needs of students Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and performance Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in education and special education best practices Cross-training with residential to accommodate transportation needsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Requires ability to obtain an A-Endorsement driver's license (must possess a driver's license for 3 years to obtain an A-Endorsement) Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus, but will train the right candidate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and teachers Willingness to undergo a background check and comply with school policies and proceduresEmployee Incentives:
