What You'll Do:
Partner with the Head Teacher to create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported Help bring curriculum to life through thoughtful, individualized instruction that meets each child's individual needs Use positive guidance techniques that build children's confidence and create a calm, structured environment Observe and document children's growth weekly Collaborate with specialists and support staff to address children's individual needs Build warm, trusting relationships with families through communication, home visits, and engagement events Maintain a beautiful, organized classroom that reflects TEAM's commitment to safety and innovation Actively participate in professional development, staff meetings, and agency events What You Bring Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education 6+ months of experience working with preschoolers, infants and/or toddlers A warm, nurturing presence and genuine love for working with young children and families Knowledge of early childhood development and Head Start standards preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus Why TEAM Supportive, team-oriented work culture - with fully resourced specialists to support children's unique needs Beautiful, state-of-the-art classrooms focused on safety and innovation Competitive pay in the top tier of Connecticut early childhood compensation Structured step progression after 90 days 15 days of paid vacation and 2 days personal days 8 sick days and 14 paid holidays Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance 403(b) with 6% company match Paid professional development, training, 1:1 coaching, and reflective supervision Payment of annual CDA re-certification fees Significant opportunities for growth with credentials across our talented Early Childhood Team and Centers Be a part of our staff recognition events including full agency development/appreciation day (off-site), multiple staff functions (family picnic, year-end party), and national appreciations such as Teacher's Day/Week, Week of the Young Child
