Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting student growth as a paraprofessional working 1:1 with an 8th-grade student in a middle school environment. This contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 11, offering consistent weekday hours of 7:30 am to 2:40 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day.
Key Qualifications:
Previous paraprofessional experience, especially with students demonstrating behavioral needs State-specific training completion (or willingness to complete required trainings) Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school-based support team Strong communication skills and flexibility in responding to student and classroom needs Professionalism and reliability in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct, individualized support to an assigned 8th-grade student throughout the school day Collaborate with educators and staff to deliver instructional and behavioral support strategies Assist the student to stay engaged, on-task, and included in classroom activities Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and any incidents as required Support the student in transitions, routines, and social interactions Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school, district, and state guidelines
