EASTCONN's Adult and Community Programs is seeking a part time aide to run activities and provide supervision for elementary aged children at Natchaug Elementary School two afternoons a week during the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and facilitate activities designed for elementary-aged children, ensuring they are educational, fun, and age-appropriate. Provide active supervision, maintaining a safe and positive environment. Assist with setup and cleanup of activities and spaces. Foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging participation and positive interactions among children. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children in a group setting, such as in a school, camp, or daycare environment. Ability to manage groups of young children safely and positively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience, creativity, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. Availability for two afternoon shifts per week during the school year. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits , including paid leave and health insurance, unless otherwise required by law.
