Key Qualifications:
Registered with DEEDS (Delaware's Department of Education) Experience supporting students as a paraprofessional or in behavior intervention roles Comfortable and confident working with students who have high needs, including providing de-escalation and creative behavioral support techniques Strong communication skills, patience, and a collaborative approach Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive attitude in changing situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct classroom support to middle school students, fostering their academic and social success Implement and reinforce individualized behavior management strategies as outlined by the educational team Work closely with teachers, counselors, and related service providers to adapt materials and instructional methods Offer encouragement, mentorship, and consistent guidance throughout the school day Monitor, redirect, and document student behaviors to support ongoing assessments and interventions Maintain an engaging, supportive, and safe classroom environment
